Cora Report Runtime – How Long Does It Take for You to Run One Cora Report?

I’ve been a web host for over 18 years, managing servers both professionally and as a passion. Recently, I’ve been conducting tests on Cora 7.2 and have noticed some interesting performance differences:

• Standard runtime: On most PCs, generating a Cora report typically takes anywhere between 8 to 15 minutes.
• Optimized server test: With an advanced server configuration I’m currently testing, the runtime is reduced to 4-5 minutes.

I’m curious—what’s the best runtime you’ve achieved for generating a single Cora report under Cora 7.2? If you could share your results and configurations, it would help in identifying an optimal setup that balances performance and affordability.

I will keep my test runs published here as I continuously conduct new tests with different configurations.

My development MacBook Pro gets the 8-15 minute reports usually.

12 minutes on a VPS running WIndows Server 2022 Standard with 32GB of RAM and AMD EPYC Processor 2.44 GHz (16 vCPU)

• CPU 2.1 GHz
• 64 GB RAM
• Krakken enabled
• 3 x samples
• Cora v7.2

Total: 5 min 15 seconds

out of which:

• Search Phase: 35 sec
• Get Data Phase: 4min 40 sec

Cora v7.2

FYI on 20 samples it takes a bit longer maybe 8-9 mins in total.

I got a 12th Gen i7 CPU at 2.10 GHz, with 12 Cores (8 x P-Cores + 4 x E-Cores)
