Optimizing for Misspelled Words for SEO (or Ads)

Is optimizing for mispelled words still a thing? I am not talking about putting them in your Title, etc. But putting it naturally in the content like ("...some people misspell these words as....") or something similar.

Does it matter these days? Will you get some ranking boost?

Also, do these work for Google Ads - would bids be lower for misspelled words?

Or does optimizing it for SEO or Ads not matter these day?

Thanks.

Not entirely sure about misspelling, but on my to do list there's a task to optimise some content pieces that have specific terms let's say:

Keyword: defense contractors , I'd add DefinedTerm or Thing schema with alternateName : defence contractors

same with terms where we need to write correctly but users tent to shorten like schema generation - schema gen, and keywords that must contain - within text but people just replace it with space.

My keywords are on articles where I kind of not offering the service there for I'm not using like product, service or other structured data types. If someone has tried this, share your practices, since this one will be part of compound optimisations on those pages so I'll not be able to evaluate benefits all that much...
