Stop Crying About AI Stealing Traffic - Here's What's Actually Happening

Seeing tons of posts about "AI is killing SEO" lately. Let me share what's actually going on.

When you search "best travel company" in ChatGPT, Perplexity, or any major AI tool - what do they do s default behavior? They scrape the SERP and summarize what's already ranking.

Think about that for a second.

If you own positions 1-4 and all mention your brand as the best solution... guess what AI recommends?

The only sites getting "killed" are thin affiliate pages pushing "Top 15 Gaming Keyboards 2025" that nobody trusted anyway.

Real businesses with real products/services? You just got handed a massive opportunity. Own the SERP = Own the AI answer.

Instead of panicking, we should be doubling down on quality SEO. The game hasn't changed - it just got more interesting.

What's everyone else seeing in their verticals?

You are right Gabriele, on Google it's the top two/three pages, great content with a lot of good information seems to get picked up by AI. It seems to switch around a bit in competitive niches while in some niches once at the top it stays there for quite some time. I also feel like it has become a lot easier to rank on Bing. Check out the competition, and beat them.
