What topics would you like to see in future episodes?

Looking for ideas on what topics are most pressing for people right now.

I've never seen a bad episode, all epic. But it would be cool to hear guests explain some of their favorite ways they apply Cora, and even Screaming Frog to get results.

Name of Things audit tutorial would also be incredible.

I'm not sure how to (or even if I can) create a poll but these are a few future topics I have queued up. Let me know which ones sound most interesting:
  1. Robots.txt
  2. Keep pages OUT of Google
  3. Merging Pages
  4. News Affiliate Sites Apocalypse - Part 2
  5. Pitching Enterprise Clients

we can't create a poll yet, I believe @Ted has to approve the feature like here.

But I propose we add all suggestions here and after that create a poll with all of them to be voted like you said Charles?
What do ya think @Ted @CharlesTaylorOnline ?

I'm curious about the "/1000" issue that can be seen in search console. I know it was mentioned in a previous episode but I don't think a solution was really covered and I can't recall the episode to look back. Would love to hear more about this again and know how you remedy the issue

Are you still seeing them in your GSC over the past 30 days?

410 URLs like that... do any of them get indexed ?
dude, that would take a long ass time unless there is a neat programmatic way to do it. This is just one site, its happening to many clients with larger sites. I don't think they are indexing, no.

Love the show guys, been a fan for many years.

1. Recommendations for the best log viewer software to use (both free and enterprise).

2. A discussion on education and learning—specifically, the time and cost investment required to stay up to date with SEO. I often get bogged down with my workload that I miss important updates and information, so I'm curious how others carve out time for learning and testing. Do you schedule dedicated learning time into your workweek, or do you study outside of work hours? Curious how everyone approaches this.

3. Which platforms are working well for you when generating images for small business websites (plumbers, electricians, roofers, etc.)? I've spent a lot of time using Midjourney but haven't quite achieved the photorealistic worksites and workers I'm looking for. I'm curious if certain AI image generation platforms perform better for specific needs—for example, photorealistic images vs. cartoon illustrations. I've been using ChatGPT to craft the Midjourney prompts. Less of an SEO-specific question I suppose, but something that's been a time suck for me.

4. We've noticed a pattern with our client websites: some have reached a level of topical authority where they naturally rank well for their target keywords plus many related variations, even when those terms aren't explicitly mentioned on their pages. For example, when a site ranks well for 'bird feeder', it will also show up in search results for variations like 'red bird feeder' or 'outdoor bird feeder' across multiple pages. While some of our clients have achieved this status, others haven't quite reached it yet. I'd love to hear about tools people are using that effectively map out this authority threshold - specifically identification of the entities and topics needed to achieve topical authority.

What would Ted do to rank for 'Games'?
You'd have to invest over time and have legit content... doesn't need to be great content but must be games. The problem with keywords like games is the many years of a head start the competition has. The strategy in a nutshell is how do we cost effectively catch up.
