    "Engagement first" video design

Just thought I would share this. I had another channel hit 60% engagement this week. attached. This channel doesn't follow a single rule of "video SEO". The titles, descriptions, and tags are all long and wordy, maxxed out. There are no facial expressions in the thumbnails or AI. Humanless...

    SEO Tools

Have never used YACCS but Jesper is an amazing guy, replies to all questions on FB, etc. We have SEMrush I've never felt it lacked anything we needed. If you have a specific need check if Google API covers it because it's easy to get ChatGPT to spin a python script for Google API. I have a few...

Establishing a direct connection between Youtube videos and website sales

I've been working hard on creating a direct connection between video SEO and sales. Just sharing some results. Image is funky because I blurred but: 1) For 15 items we made 10 videos 2) 7 of the items featured in videos sold within days Not a proper test, but promising. Client had record sales...

What were the results of the press release testing?

Totally untested but I ranked a fresh EMD in 72 hours with a couple free PRs this week. We got #2 with PRs at 3,4,5. I doubt they will hold.

What makes this PR strategy better? 12 PRs, 12 weeks, 12 services.

The impact so far has been huge but it's all local stuff with zero existing SEO so that's not proof of anything. I ranked a fresh EMD from scratch in a few days this week but the term wasn't super competitive so again not proof. Painting company. Need more testing to really prove anything for...

What makes this PR strategy better? 12 PRs, 12 weeks, 12 services.

I do a thing for clients where I post one PR per week for 12 weeks, I use different service for each one. Some basic PR sites like OpenPR as well as sites like ABnewswire, but always the most economical ones, never the premium distribution. With each PR I target something, could be words, could...

What is "quality" video? What does that mean?

Count me in for anything you need. Video is my life. It would be an honour to contribute to tests.

Google forcing FAKE Shipping Times and Return Policies onto all Ecommerce SERPs? How to urgently combat it?

That is some good advice. Anyway a customer can get confused, a customer will get confused. "Funnel friction" can occur showing shipping warnings prior to product presentation. Sequencing messaging in a way that is intuitive to the customer might be beneficial.

What is "quality" video? What does that mean?

Exactly. Camera guys here are all 8K but when I hire them we just do HD, it's going to be a while before device audiences don't find HD adequate. 8K or even 4K is just more resource intensive to edit. For podcasts HD is probably fine for at least 2025-2026.

AI as a editor, prompt suggestions.

I like to ask for things inline with user intent. Also formatting that maximizes semantic triples without sacrificing readability.

Digg Reboot, the new Reddit jr?

https://www.engadget.com/apps/digg-is-getting-another-revival-this-time-with-an-injection-of-ai-161205428.html They have a waiting list for invites. I wonder if there will be any early mover SEO opportunities? The team behind this has a good track record, will it become a new juggernaut in...

Googling the future Charles never disappoints

Googling the future is a fascinating concept. In the past Redditors have discovered things like documents by scouring for terms they knew would be upcoming but this is the first time it seems potentially like it could be done programmatically or with general scope. Is anyone else doing anything...
